Personal Thoughts: Sweet Haven was a new read for me as I have never read a book by this author and her style took a bit of time to get used to. It tells the story of Adeline (Addie) Lamont as she takes over her grandfather’s chocolate shop while he is recovering in the hospital after a fall. The story talks about how she is always struggling to make the world famous fudge recipe, her never ending to do list and new and unexpected adventures with the tenant that lives upstairs.

Sinclair Jefferson is back in town to do one thing and that is to clean the house that he grew up in and then he is leaving town. He doesn’t account for running into Addie and seeing the sparks that begin there. Throughout the story both get to know each other and their quirks and have to come to terms with their past baggage in order to move on in the future.

Although this was an enjoyable read and funny at times, there were times that the story dragged on and didn’t really capture my attention. There was a bit of a mystery in the plot however it didn’t really add to the story as I thought it would.

Overall a funny, quick read for those looking for a romantic read with great characters.
